Paintings from France and Italy
25th to 29th October, 2016
Aerial views (inspired by flights in a
hot-air balloon), landscape paintings, river scenes and Italian gardens
fill this gallery for Liz's October exhibition. An ancient garden in
Montisi, Tuscany, has given her a fascinating subject, as has the
landscape of the Crete Senesi for her flying paintings. Also on show,
are paintings from her times spent in Civita Castellana, Lazio, where
she has worked "en pleine air" in the footsteps of Turner, Bidauld and
Corot who painted here on their way to Rome.
Recently Liz has moved from her home of many years in Tuscany to South West France, where the River Aveyron has been a new subject and inspiration for her paintings.
